The International Arts Education & Therapy Development Academic Association (IAETDAA) is an international non-profit academic organization registered in Colorado, USA. As an authoritative body in the field of expressive arts therapy and education, the Association is dedicated to advancing global scientific research, practical application, and professional standardization in expressive arts therapy.
Rooted in evidence-based research, the Association specializes in the application of arts therapy across multiple domains including healthcare rehabilitation, mental health, educational innovation, community development, and organizational growth. Through establishing an international certification framework for arts therapists, we provide systematic professional training and continuous career development support for practitioners.
Currently, IAETDAA has established a three-dimensional development model integrating academic research, professional standard development, and international exchange. The Association regularly convenes international academic conferences, publishes industry research reports, and maintains a cross-disciplinary global expert think tank. Our professional network spans numerous countries and regions, contributing significantly to the standardization and professionalization of arts therapy worldwide.
Moving forward, IAETDAA will continue to deepen empirical research in arts therapy, expand international collaborative networks, and promote the global dissemination and scientific application of arts therapy through innovative educational programs and public service initiatives, thereby contributing professional expertise to the enhancement of human physical and mental wellbeing.
Art therapy (not to be confused with arts therapy, which includes other creative therapies such as drama therapy and music therapy) is a distinct discipline that incorporates creative methods of expression through visual art media. Art therapy, as a creative arts therapy profession, originated in the fields of art and psychotherapy and may vary in definition.

Music therapy, an allied health profession, "is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program."

Dance/movement therapy (DMT) in USA/ Australia or dance movement psychotherapy (DMP) in the UK is the psychotherapeutic use of movement and dance to support intellectual, emotional, and motor functions of the body.

Play therapy refers to a range of methods of capitalising on children's natural urge to explore and harnessing it to meet and respond to the developmental and later also their mental health needs.

Narrative therapy (or Narrative Practice) is a form of psychotherapy that seeks to help patients identify their values and the skills associated with them. It provides the patient with knowledge of their ability to live these values so they can effectively confront current and future problems.

Bibliotherapy (also referred to as book therapy, reading therapy, poetry therapy or therapeutic storytelling) is a creative arts therapy that involves storytelling or the reading of specific texts. It uses an individual's relationship to the content of books and poetry and other written words as therapy.
